How to Create Print-Ready Files in Photoshop From Start to Finish

Photoshop is one of the most-used programs by our clients. While versatile, Photoshop can throw some curve balls in the design process that result in errors when uploading to our site. This can lead to confusion and uncertainty of how your files will turn out when printed and lead to delays.

Everything you need to know about… C1S

Our C1S stands for “Coated 1 Side.” This means that the front side of the paper has a soft matte-like coating, while the back side remains uncoated. Its thickness is 18pt, which means it is a bit thicker than your standard business card paper and offers a nice contrast in texture from front to back.

Everything You Need To Know About… Spot UV

Whether you are using regular Spot UV or Raised Spot UV, this is a clear gloss that is applied to set areas of your choosing. Unlike Full Gloss that covers the entire surface of the card, this can be applied over small or larger areas – giving an extra dimension and contrast to the artwork.

Everything you need to know about… Kraft

Our Kraft paper is manufactured by the legendary Kraft Paper Company. This particular stock was created back in 1955 and was the first of its kind. It’s created by mixing thick, light brown natural fibers and subtle visible flecks, which gives the paper an organic look and feel. And because this stock is created from 100% recycled material, it has a perfect rustic and eco-friendly appeal.
